Confederate Monument

Just about anywhere on Broad Street you are able to see this monument, especially the soldier standing on the very top.



Impressive when it is surrounded by trees like this and even more so when the trees are in colors.









The Lamar Building looms over the monument. I took a picture of this monument from the penthouse looking almost straight down.





























Each of the four major Confederate generals (Lee, Jackson, Walker and Cobb) stand on their own platform extending from each of the four corners.





















I noticed in this post card of old Augusta that the trolley lines went around the base of the monumet.
