The Rebel and Our Doctor

Hey, Carolyn, remember when we were kids and a train came through Wanilla that was called "The Rebel"? I could not believe it when I found a picture of the train on the internet, taken in 1935, the year you were born. I remember me and Mother and I think it was Aunt Net rode the train to New Orleans one time when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I remember crossing that big Lake Ponchatrain. Needless to tell you what that did to a little country kid's head. My mother and Aunt Net went shopping at the big stores on Canal Street I am sure and I will never forget these elevated wires all over the top of the stores that the cashier would use to attach the payment onto a fist size clip and this clip would then ride from above the clerk across the top of the store up this long wire into a window on the second floor which was the office. And shortly here it came back with the change and receipt. There were constant movements of these clips going there and coming here and zooming across from side to side.

Thought you might like to see a picture of our doctor. Dr Vu is from Viet Nam and is the best doctor we ever had. He doesn't let you waste time on anything if he knows it will not help. I told him about my numb feet and need a recommendation of a foot specialist from him. He flatly told me it is not curable and he thinks I should find comfortable soft shoes and learn to live with the "nummies".
